Andre Oh, Senior Design Engineer at APC Technology has graduated from the SA Defence Industry Leadership Program (SADILP) as part of the 2016 cohort.
SADILP is a targeted, action based professional development program which runs over eight months. One of the significant benefits of the program is the industry-wide participation, which brings a diverse range of individuals together who work at various levels within their organisations from across defence and other connected industry sectors.
Part funded by the SA Department of State Development, the highly contested program offers a limited number of individuals the opportunity to develop skills and apply them in practice. The 2016 class received their graduation plaque in December presented by Shadow Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy Dan Van Holst Pellekkan (member for Stuart).
Andre commented on the value he personally gained from being a participant, ” The program provided an excellent opportunity to learn from other leaders in the field, expand my network, and gain an invaluable insight into the operations of various sectors of the industry, such as Government, Defence and Primes. There was room for personal development, equipping myself with the skills and tools to become a better leader, as well as professional development, with an understanding of how to better meet the requirements of our Defence Force.”
Scott Begbie, Managing Director of APC Technology attended the graduation ceremony and commented on the value of the program. ” Andre’s graduation acknowledges eight months of dedication and hard work. Andre is the third APC Technology staff member to graduate from SADILP in the last 5 years. The Board and I continue to support SADILP because we believe the program offers many opportunities to assist the growth of our staff both personally and professional, which benefits our overall workplace.”
