APC Technology Win Contract to Supply Radio Operator Consoles to Raytheon Australia

October 2018: Adelaide based designer & manufacturer APC Technology has partnered with Raytheon Australia to provide radio operator consoles as part of SEA 1654 program that will overhaul the Royal Australian Navy’s maritime operational support capability.

APC Technology has an established relationship with Raytheon Australia including the delivery of a range of bespoke products for the Air Warfare Destroyer Communication and Information Systems (CIS) including: UPS, ruggedised mounting arrangements for various COTS equipment, Thin Client Enclosures (to house COTS computers) and Ship’s Consoles.

“Raytheon Australia recognises the vital role that Australian industry plays in the development and execution of solutions for the Australian Defence Force”, said Michael Ward managing director of Raytheon Australia. “Every day we work hand-in-hand with Australian suppliers, including APC Technology, to achieve mission success for our Defence customer.”

APC Technology will be responsible for the manufacture of a range of computing solutions as well as the planning, sourcing and layout of the consoles. An integral part of the process will be the responsibility for the integration, power distribution, airflow management and cable management of the consoles. The design of the red-black architecture of the system will also be managed by APC Technology.

Throughout the Air Warfare Destroyer program APC Technology has retained an astute customer focus and exhibited a robust collaborative culture with an ethos intent on delivery of successful project outcomes.  APC Technology’s commitment to resolving challenging issues and taking ownership of problems that arose through the development of these custom products was an outstanding contribution to the success of the CIS project and broader AWD Program. This commitment from APC Technology has not gone unnoticed and they have recently been contracted to provide solutions for the SEA 1654 AOR project as a supplier to Raytheon Australia.
