Celebrating Neil’s 16-Year Journey at APC Technology

Neil joined APC Technology after an unexpected career change led him to an assembler position on our manufacturing floor. What began as a fresh start quickly developed into a rewarding career that has spanned manufacturing, CAD design, innovation, process improvement and operations.

Over the years, Neil has played a key role in introducing new manufacturing technologies, helping establish APC’s rapid prototyping capability and commissioning our first laser engraving systems. His ability to combine practical manufacturing knowledge with design and innovation has helped improve processes across the business while delivering greater value for our customers.

Reflecting on his career, Neil says one of his proudest achievements was helping transform customer ideas into working prototypes.

“One of the most rewarding parts of the role was being able to take a customer’s concept and produce a physical prototype in a very short timeframe. Seeing an idea go from a conversation to something tangible within hours demonstrated how innovation and streamlined processes can create real value for both our customers and APC Technology.”

Today, Neil continues to support APC Technology from an operational perspective, focusing on improving business systems, manufacturing processes and efficiencies that support the company’s continued growth.

When asked what has kept him at APC for 16 years, Neil points to the variety of opportunities the business has provided.

“I’ve been fortunate to work across manufacturing, design, innovation, process improvement and operations. Every role has allowed me to learn new skills, embrace new technologies and contribute in different ways. That’s what has kept the work both challenging and rewarding.”

Outside of work, Neil’s passion for engineering continues. He enjoys restoring historic vehicles and designing and building projects using his own 3D printer and laser machines—a passion that naturally complements his career at APC Technology.

His advice for anyone joining APC is simple:

“Be open to learning, ask questions and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. If you’re willing to embrace new opportunities, APC is a place where you can build a long and rewarding career.”
